Band sealers

Band sealers

On all continuous sealers, the principle is as follows: the bag is supported by a conveyor whose speed is synchronized with the speed of the sealer. The top of the bag to be sealed passes sequentially between heating bars, cooling bars, and exits sealed without ever stopping. Transport belts or chains, in larger models, hold the top of the bag and guide it through the sealer using Teflon-coated steel or Teflon fabric bands, which play a very important role. They ensure contact between the sealing area and the heating and cooling elements to prevent the film from sticking when it is hot. The heating bars are metal blocks through which the Teflon bands pass. Inside, there is a cylindrical resistance controlled by a thermostat. The principle of continuous sealing allows, through the precisely adjusted spacing of the heating bars, the application of a determined sealing pressure.
